TASHKENT, May 12. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gayrat Fazilov has held talks with the head of the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Charlotte Adriaen, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The parties discussed the current issues on the agenda of cooperation, including the progress of the negotiation process on the draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between Uzbekistan and the EU, practical aspects of preparation for the next meeting of Uzbekistan – EU Cooperation Council and the ministerial meeting “European Union – Central Asia”.
The main attention was paid to prospects for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, proposals to increase the trade turnover in the light of Uzbekistan's obtaining the status of a beneficiary country of the “GSP+” system, as well as interaction in tourism.
