LONDON, November 5. / “Dunyo” IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Said Rustamov has held talks with member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament Peter Lilley and the Chairwoman and Co-Founder of the Conservative Friends of Eurasia at the Conservative Party, Bоta Hopkinson, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The parties discussed the development of Uzbekistan – British cooperation, including on the inter-parliamentary line, as well as organization of a number of joint events.
During the conversation, Lord Lilley noted that large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan contribute to the dynamic development of Uzbekistan – British cooperation and open up new opportunities for further building up interaction.
An agreement was reached to hold, together with the House of Lords, a number of joint economic, cultural and humanitarian events, as well as to organize mutual visits of parliamentary delegations as the situation with the coronavirus pandemic stabilizes.
Lord Lilley was also invited to participate in a virtual forum to be organized by the Embassy on the investment potential of the energy sector of Uzbekistan, which will take place on November 11.
