TASHKENT, November 10. /“Dunyo” IA/. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is taking part in the session of Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Council of the Heads of State, which began today at 14.00 (Tashkent time), and is being held for the first time due in videoconference format, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
As previously reported, the agenda of the meeting chaired by the Russian side includes issues pertaining to the enhancement of multifaceted interaction within the SCO in the context of mounting new global challenges and threats.
Following the session discussions, Moscow Declaration and a package of documents are to be adopted to expand the mutually advantageous cooperation within the SCO, including in the field of security, economy, digital technologies, development of rural areas, effective counteraction of epidemics as well as in other areas.
Currently, the SCO members are India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The organization's activities include observer states Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia, as well as 6 dialogue partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
