Within the framework of the dialogue "Central Asia+ Japan" tourism symposium was held

TOKYO, November 12. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MFA) and the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) held a virtual tourism symposium as part of Central Asia + Japan Dialogue to familiarize with the tourism potential of Central Asia, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was attended by representatives of more than 500 Japanese travel companies. The staff of the embassies of the Central Asian countries in Tokyo informed them about the opportunities and new directions in tourism.

JATA President Tadashi Shimura noted that Central Asian countries have a rich tourism potential and in recent years, Japan has been increasing interest in the countries of this region.

It was noted that in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Central Asian countries in 2022, it is planned to hold several events aimed at promoting the culture and wide tourism potential of the region’s countries, in particular Uzbekistan.

The main attention at the presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was paid to the consistent and large-scale reforms carried out in tourism development in Uzbekistan, favorable conditions created for foreign tourists, as well as measures to ensure the safe movement of travelers around the country in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
