Out of 2,204 patients infected with coronavirus, 1,454 or 66% of patients have fully recovered. 83% of quarantined people have already returned home. 740 patients remaining in hospitals.
Uzbekistan has allocated 5 mln from the Anti-Crisis Fund and 0 mln from funds of international financial institutions to stop the pandemic.
First steps were taken in Uzbekistan to soften the quarantine requirements in order to create convenience for people, especially farmers and entrepreneurs.
Natural disaster in the Bukhara region damaged more than 38K homes, 847 public facilities and most farmland.
Roofs of 70% of public facilities and 20% of the homes have been restored. 5K km of power lines, more than 1K transformers have been repaired and power supply restored for 286K residents.
Dam breakthrough in Syrdarya region damaged houses 90K people. All of them are provided with basic necessities, food, clothing and other products. The government commission is working to remove the consequences and investigate the causes of the flood.
Large-scale works have been done in the region and as a result, more than 53K people have returned to their homes or moved to those of close relatives.
Residents of the Syrdarya, Jizzakh and Tashkent regions voluntarily sheltered 81% of those evacuated from Sardoba, Akaltyn, Mirzaabad districts.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev had a phone call talk about the catastrophe and agreed to coordinate joint actions.
Until all issues related to the restoration and repair of damage in the region are resolved, all executives assigned to Syrdarya shall continue working in emergency mode.
