Uzbekistan’s cultural and historical heritage presented in Vienna

The event was dedicated to the role of Central Asian countries in development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the East and West. It was attended by representatives of government, academic and public circles, international organizations and diplomatic missions of foreign states accredited in Austria.

 

At the evening, media presentations of the historical significance of such cities of Uzbekistan as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Fergana, which for many centuries were the heart of the Great Silk Road and united Asia and Europe through trade, exchange of cultural and spiritual values, were held.

 

An exhibition of art works by domestic artists, Uzbek artisans’ products on miniature painting, artistic chasing and sewing of national suzana was organized.
