Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov has held a meeting with Senator Lim Hui Ying, a member of the Malaysian group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, via videoconference.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the countries.
The Malaysian side highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan aimed at further liberalizing and modernizing the economy, improving public administration and the judicial-legal sphere.
Mutual interest in further enhancing cooperation and mutual support of initiatives within the framework of international organizations was confirmed.
Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on the continuation of political and diplomatic contacts to further expand the agenda of Uzbekistan – Malaysia interaction.
