TASHKENT, May 19. /“Dunyo” IA/. President of Uzbekistan ordered to return Uzbekistani asking for comeback to their homeland at Russian-Kazakh border, informs “Dunyo” correspondent with the reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek Embassies in Moscow and Nur-Sultan along with Consulate Generals in Kazan and Aktau built the list of compatriots waiting at “Mashtakovo” checkpoint. These diplomatic missions are also responsible to resolve logistical issues.

Overall, 1,100 people included to the list will come back to Uzbekistan. Particularly, 550 individuals will arrive by bus on May 18 and May 19. Following their arrival, they will be placed on 14-day mandatory quarantine.

Operational headquarters of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry says that the return of compatriots was made on an exceptional basis based on the list built earlier by diplomatic missions. No additional list is expecting to be formed.

In that sense, MFA kindly asks Uzbekistani in Russian Federation to suspend attempts of crossing the border via “Mashtakovo” and other nearby checkpoints. In addition to that, compatriots are kindly requested to stay home and adhere to quarantine measures.

MFA will provide additional information on future returns from Kazakhstan.
