LONDON, November 16. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London has organized virtual negotiations between the British Victoria and Albert Museum and the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Chairman of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of Cultural Heritage Firdavs Abdukhalikov informed the representatives of the British Museum about Uzbekistan’s efforts to preserve the country’s cultural and historical heritage, as well as to popularize them around the world.

Representatives of Victoria and Albert Museum expressed their readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with the World Society, including the joint preparation and publication of the next issue of the book “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in World Collections” with the inclusion of scientific articles and photographs about the museum’s collections related to the history and culture of Uzbekistan. For this, joint research will be carried out to study digitized catalogs related to the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, with the involvement of V&A curators and other experts.

The parties also intend to explore the possibility of publishing an issue on V&A collections related to the historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia.
