Uzbekistan delegation, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of Poland discussed priority areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation

TASHKENT, March 17. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sherzod Asadov met with the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm (Lower House) of the National Assembly of the Republic of Poland Piotr Zgorzelski, in Warsaw, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and priority areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

The Polish side was informed about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at modernizing all spheres of life.

The parties noted the importance of further development of inter-parliamentary relations to strengthen the legal framework of the political dialogue between Uzbekistan and Poland. In this context, the mechanisms of increasing contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as ways to improve the effectiveness of joint activities, were considered.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues on the joint agenda.
