Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main together with Germany’s PR company BZ.COMM organized a videoconference with participation of the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Ulugbek Azamov and about 100 representatives of travel companies of Uzbekistan, Germany and Austria.
The event was also attended by representatives of the largest media outlets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, such as RTL TV company, newspapers Die Welt, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Frankfurter Neue Presse, Berliner Morgenpost, Focus, time4you magazines and others.
Foreign partners and the media have been provided with detailed information about the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, ancient cities, cultural and historical sites, places of recreation, gastronomy, handicrafts, as well as conditions created for a comfortable stay of tourists in the country.
Participants of the meeting showed great interest in measures taken in Uzbekistan to support the tourism industry for reducing the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic in the form of credit and tax holidays, subsidies and grants, as well as increased measures to ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety for foreign tourists.
In particular, the event participants were informed about the plan for resumption of international tourism in Uzbekistan based on the new system of sanitary and epidemiological safety “Uzbekistan. Safe travel guaranteed”, which meets the highest international standards of tourist safety.
Panel discussion was organized between travel companies, during which the parties discussed the development of cooperation and new joint projects, exchanged views on resumption of tourist exchange.
