Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A Presidential Resolution "On additional measures to improve the certification system of auditors" was adopted.
According to the Resolution, from 15 August 2021, the following functions of the Ministry of Finance will be entrusted to public associations of auditors:
- conducting qualification exams to obtain an auditor's qualification certificate;
- issuance, renewal, extension and termination of the auditor's qualification certificate;
- approval of professional development programs for auditors.
The regulations for conducting qualification exams are approved by public associations of auditors in agreement with the Ministry of Finance.
From 1 August 2022, the updated curricula of the Tashkent State Economic University, the Tashkent Financial Institute, the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service (experimental and test higher educational institutions) will be introduced into the educational process, providing for an in-depth study of international audit standards in the areas of undergraduate and graduate specialties "Accounting Accounting and Auditing".
Also, by the end of 2021, a system for conducting a national qualification exam will be introduced, the results of which will be accepted as part of the international certification of accountants in the areas of "Law" and "Taxation".
