Tashkent hosts a meeting of Central Asia and the United States delegations in “C5+1” format

TASHKENT, July 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. A meeting of the dialogue format “С5+1” has taken place within the framework of the International High-Level Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the delegations of the Central Asian countries were led by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev. The American side was represented by the U.S. Homeland Security Advisor Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.

The parties discussed the current aspects of cooperation within the “C5+1” format and exchanged views on international politics and regional security.
