Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan has organized a videoconference with participation of representatives of the Organizing Committee of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Secretary General of Uzbekistan NOC Oybek Kasimov within the framework of preparation for the XXXII Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games in Japan.
The organizational and technical issues of preparation and participation of Uzbekistan delegation in Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021 were discussed. It was noted that the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic at the beginning of the year led to the postponement of the Olympics and a change in the schedules of events.
As representatives of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee noted, they are currently working with the International Olympic Committee to work out the schedule of visits for foreign guests and delegations of national Olympic committees to Japan. In working out organizational, technical and other issues, the organizing committee also interacts with various Japanese companies and organizations.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of solving a number of current issues for the effective preparation of the sports delegation of Uzbekistan for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
