Yesterday, the Olympic Glory Museum hosted a ceremonial farewell for our country’s sports delegation to the XVII Paralympic Games in Paris
It was noted that the preparation cycle for this year’s Paralympic Games was very different from previous ones. Thanks to the support of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his special attention to the Paralympic movement, all organizational and preparatory processes were successful.
Our 65 athletes managed to secure 113 licenses for the Summer Paralympic Games. It is reported that this is a record figure for Uzbekistan in terms of the number of licenses and participants in the Paralympic Games.
Athletes from Uzbekistan will compete in athletics, judo, swimming, powerlifting, canoeing, rowing, taekwondo, shooting, and cycling. The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov participated in the farewell ceremony.
