Uzbekistan’s Ambassador and the Chair of the European Parliament Committee talk over the phone

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.

 

The parliamentarian expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of European – Uzbekistan relations. He highlighted the progress made by the parties within the framework of the EPCA. The hope was expressed for an early completion of this process.

 

He supported the efforts of the Uzbek side to join the GSP+ system and the WTO, noting the EU’s readiness for provision of necessary assistance in this direction.

 

Following the talks, the parties agreed on a number of joint events in Brussels.
