Uzbekistan’s Embassy has organized an online conference on “Uzbekistan – Israel: the state and prospects of cooperation in water management” with participation of representatives of relevant organizations.
Proposals from the Uzbek side were discussed to attract Israel’s best practices in water conservation and water management, including inviting Israeli specialists to Uzbekistan, organizing short-term education courses, setting up production of drip irrigation equipment, creating joint research laboratories, introducing digital technologies into water management facilities, construction and reconstruction of irrigation and reclamation facilities, as well as attracting foreign investment and grants.
An agreement was reached to continue mutually beneficial cooperation by organizing thematic webinars for substantive discussion and building up a bilateral agenda in this area.
