Trucks of humanitarian aid left Termez for Mazar-i-Sharif

TASHKENT, December 16. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, two special trucks of humanitarian aid from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) left yesterday Uzbekistan’s Termez for the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, in Seoul, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

It is part of the efforts of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to provide vital assistance to the Afghan people.

Humanitarian aid was loaded at the Termez Cargo Centre of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Surkhandarya region, created with the support of the Government of Uzbekistan. The modern terminal is located two kilometers from Uzbekistan – Afghanistan border. The necessary conditions have been created here for storing and sending cargo to a neighboring country.

The first 40 tons of humanitarian aid sent to Afghanistan include kitchen utensils, plastic products and other necessities. The humanitarian aid was delivered to Termez in October-November this year and was stored in the logistics terminal “Termez Cargo Centre”.
