IICA hosts a meeting with EU Special Representative for Central Asia

TASHKENT, August 25. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) Anvar Nasirov met with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Teri Hakala, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The event was also attended by the Head of the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Charlotte Adriaen.

The parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in various spheres, as well as issues of regional cooperation. The main attention was paid to the establishment of a partnership between IICA and EU think tanks.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on working out practical steps for the implementation of joint programs and events, including research works, workshops, conferences, as well as expert meetings with the participation of representatives of Central Asian countries and the European Union.
