The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels jointly with Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association organized a webinar on this topic with participation of domestic manufacturers of textile products and businesspeople of the Benelux countries.
The changing situation in the European textile markets caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the existing problems on the export of Uzbekistan textile products, the scenarios of the actions of exporters and their support in the country in the new conditions were discussed at the event.
The Uzbek side provided information on the export potential of the domestic textile industry, support for manufacturers and experience in cooperation with foreign partners during the pandemic.
Commenting on the situation around the boycott on Uzbek cotton and textile products, the Uzbek side informed about the conduction by Tashkent of a dialogue with Cotton Campaign, the representatives of which are invited to Uzbekistan this year to monitor the cotton harvest.
