Afghan doctors study Uzbekistan’s experience in combating coronavirus

TASHKENT, January 6. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, a delegation of officials and doctors of the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan has arrived in Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the purpose of the visit is to familiarize Afghan medical workers with the experience of Uzbekistan in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection, increase their practical skills and competencies in using modern and effective methods of treating COVID-19.

A delegation of 20 Afghan medical specialists will stay in Uzbekistan for 10 days and take part in special training sessions. The sessions are developed by Uzbekistan professionals who have been directly involved in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.

Masterclasses will be organized in infectious diseases hospitals No. 1 and No. 2 of Zangiata district. They will get acquainted with the work in central and family polyclinics, and will also visit Samarkand region.
