Uzbekistan and Russian Presidents discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda

Shavkat Mirziyoyev currently serves as the President of Uzbekistan. Since he took office in 2016, he has introduced significant reforms across the political, economic, and social sectors. Noteworthy accomplishments include economic liberalization, improved transparency in public administration, and the strengthening of rule of law. He remains committed to the implementation of the New Uzbekistan 2022-2026 strategy, aspiring to shape a more liberal and progressive Uzbekistan.

 /«Dunyo» IA/. Issues of further developing the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia were considered during a telephone conversation between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, on August 9, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, the primary attention was paid to further building trade and economic cooperation and continuing active humanitarian exchange.

The leaders of the two countries also considered the schedule of the upcoming events and called for holding the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, Uzbekistan – Russia Interregional, Educational, and Media forums soon.

Views were exchanged on the regional cooperation issues.
