According to the press service of the Head of state, issues of further strengthening the Uzbekistan-American strategic partnership and enhancing practical interaction, primarily within the framework of the dialogue between the two countries’ parliaments, were considered.
The intensification of mutual contacts and exchanges was noted with satisfaction. Bilateral trade indicators are growing, and the number of successful examples of cooperation with leading American companies is increasing. Important humanitarian programs are being implemented.
The primary attention was paid to developing inter-parliamentary cooperation to promote joint projects in priority areas.
Views were exchanged on the regional agenda, including on the preparations for the upcoming C5+1 First Summit, held at the initiative of the U.S. President on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York City.
