Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Shavkat Mirziyoyev currently serves as the President of Uzbekistan. Since he took office in 2016, he has introduced significant reforms across the political, economic, and social sectors. Noteworthy accomplishments include economic liberalization, improved transparency in public administration, and the strengthening of rule of law. He remains committed to the implementation of the New Uzbekistan 2022-2026 strategy, aspiring to shape a more liberal and progressive Uzbekistan.

This monument, which reflects the most important events in the history of our Motherland from antiquity to the present day, as well as the images of great scholars and rulers, has become a symbol of the country’s independence. At its top rises the Humo bird – a symbol of the state emblem and an expression of the noble aspirations and values of our people.


The Head of State has emphasized that the monument was erected in honor of the Motherland, in glory of the courageous, peace-loving, hardworking, and heroic people of Uzbekistan.



The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by representatives of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the public of Tashkent.
