Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Shavkat Mirziyoyev currently serves as the President of Uzbekistan. Since he took office in 2016, he has introduced significant reforms across the political, economic, and social sectors. Noteworthy accomplishments include economic liberalization, improved transparency in public administration, and the strengthening of rule of law. He remains committed to the implementation of the New Uzbekistan 2022-2026 strategy, aspiring to shape a more liberal and progressive Uzbekistan.
Following the results of fruitful negotiations between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh held a signing ceremony of bilateral documents was held.
The Heads of state signed a Joint Statement on interstate relations and cooperation.
A total of 14 documents were signed during the state visit, including:
- Intergovernmental program on trade, economic and investment cooperation for 2024-2026;
- Intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the sphere of tourism;
- Intergovernmental agreement on air communication;
- Intergovernmental Agreement on International Road Transport;
- Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2024-2025;
- Protocol on Cooperation between the Secretariats of the Security Councils;
- Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministries of Agriculture;
- Agreement on Cooperation in the field of veterinary and livestock;
- Agreement on Scientific Cooperation between the Academies of Sciences;
- Protocol on cooperation between national news agencies;
- Protocol on cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry;
- Protocol on the establishment of a Joint Business Council;
- Agreement on cooperation between the administrations of the cities of Tashkent and Ulaanbaatar.
