The Embassy of Uzbekistan in France is carrying out comprehensive activities on studying and promotion of French experience in implementation of new educational standards that meet the needs of the industry and significantly expand the scope of specialized disciplines and practical training. At the same time, key attention is paid to the establishment of cooperation and opening branches of French universities in Uzbekistan for targeted training of specialists in the tourism industry.
For these purposes, Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission held negotiations with representatives of one of the leading universities in France in this sphere – Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School, during which issues of establishment of cooperation and opening of a branch of this higher school in Uzbekistan were discussed.
Following the negotiations in Lyon, an agreement was signed between Bukhara State University (BSU) and Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School on opening the branch of the French educational institution at BSU, which provides for issuance of international bachelor's and master's degrees. According to the document, Marco Polo training program will also be organized, which provides 2nd year students to take a one-year course in any of 59 Vatel schools around the world.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in France also promotes negotiations between "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Sorbonne University on development of a Convention providing for improvement of the educational process, ensuring the mobility of teaching staff and students, as well as professional development of teachers.
