SHANGHAI, January 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. On January 12, The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the Department for International Tourism Development of Trip.com Group Ltd. held virtual talks, organized with the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
At the event, the Uzbek side presented information on the development of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry, its potential, the establishment of new ways of air communication with foreign countries, as well as measures taken to increase the tourist flow to the country.
It was noted that, taking into account the current difficult situation with the coronavirus pandemic, “Uzbekistan. Safe travel Guaranteed” Project was developed, which is a new system of sanitary-epidemiological safety for tourists based on world standards and involves the certification of all tourism facilities and related infrastructure, tourist services based on new sanitary and hygienic requirements. It was emphasized that these requirements are mandatory for all state border points, air, railway and bus stations, objects of tangible cultural heritage, museums, theaters and other cultural objects based on a special register of safe objects created jointly with the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Business Development Manager for Europe and Central Asia Sofia Canali presented information on promising areas of cooperation with the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish close working contacts for further discussion of prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation.
