TASHKENT, January 31. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev layed flowers at the Monument to Islam Karimov in Tashkent, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, January 30 is the birthday of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. It has become a good tradition to mark the latter’s birthday.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has paid tribute to the memory of the First President, laying flowers at the Monument to Islam Karimov in the city of Tashkent.
Surahs from the Holy Quran were recited. The gathered expressed warm words recalling Islam Karimov’s multifaceted activity and noble human qualities.
The ceremony has been attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, members of the parliament and government, science and culture figures, creative intelligentsia as well as the wider public of the city.
Flowers are laid also at the monuments to the First President in Samarkand and Karshi.
