TASHKENT, November 14. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with construction of multi-storey houses in Karshi, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, seven sixteen-storey apartment blocks are under construction in the Navo mahalla of the city of Karshi. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with this residential area.
A total of 39 multi-storey houses are planned to be built in this quarter, the project will be implemented in five stages.
At the first phase, 3 houses have been erected. Particular attention was paid to compliance with contemporary seismological and architectural requirements. High quality energy saving materials were used. Each apartment has its own water heater.
The head of state drew attention to construction technologies and the quality of houses, and gave additional instructions on ensuring fire safety and qualified public utilities services.
The area around the houses is landscaped, a playground has been created for local children. Another 4 apartment blocks are expected to be commissioned in March next year.
In addition, a school for 1,680 students, 2 kindergartens, a polyclinic, a supermarket, sports grounds, a park and other facilities will be built here.
The President also was briefed about efforts designed to construct and repair roads, modernize heating networks, drinking water supply and sewerage systems in Karshi.
