Uzbekistan’s Ambassador meets with the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives of Malaysia

On July 9, 2020, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov held talks with the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives of Malaysia, Wan Junaidi, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Prospects for further development of bilateral mutually beneficial trade-economic and investment cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.
 
The Malaysian side was provided with detailed information about favorable business climate and ongoing steps to support business activities during the pandemic.
 
The Malaysian side was particularly interested in the latest trends in creation of a new system of supporting small business, which provides for training entrepreneurs in special courses, registration of enterprises, allocation of grants to cover part of the costs in purchasing equipment, as well as Tax Service – Assistant Entrepreneur principle, which are very important steps in the current conditions to ensure sustainable growth of economic indicators.
 
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on considering the possibility of holding a videoconference with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Agency for Entrepreneurship Development of Uzbekistan for discussing issues of joint development of relevant programs aimed at supporting and developing the activities of SMB, organizing specialized training courses on the exchange of experience for representatives of this sphere, as well as exchanging experience in business support in Uzbekistan and Malaysia.
