Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan Government delegations meet in Tashkent

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov has received the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akram Madumarov, in Tashkent.

 

At the meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers, it was noted that thanks to the initiative and efforts of the heads of the two states, bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan have risen to a new, higher quality level, filled with new practical content.
 
The parties discussed issues of delimitation of the state border, the efficiency of checkpoints’ activity, the development of trade-economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, as well as the rational use of water resources.
 
Holding a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and regular meetings of the Council of Heads (Hokims) of border areas was also discussed.
 
A meeting of the governmental delegations of the two countries on delimitation and demarcation of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan state border is taking place in Tashkent these days.
