On June 19-25, 2019, Turkmenabad hosted the regular meeting of the working groups of Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on the issues of delimitation and demarcation of the State border between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, during the negotiations, the parties continued to consider proposals for the passage of project demarcation line of interstate border.
A draft of Requirements for production of aerial photography at the border was developed at the meeting.
Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on conducting field demarcation activities on certain parts of joint border, including with involvement of relevant specialists.
The meeting was held in a traditionally friendly atmosphere.
Following the negotiations, leaders of working groups Tulkin Abdullayev and Mamed Mamedov signed a Protocol of the meeting.
