TASHKENT, April 14. /“Dunyo” IA/. The amount of fee for issuing a confirmation of the right to work for foreign doctors in Uzbekistan is reduced by six times, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Norma.uz portal, this measure is provided for in the presidential decree adopted on April 11 “On measures to create additional facilities for the activities of the private sector in medicine and support workers in this sphere”.
According to the document, this applies to doctors who are foreign citizens and are not included in the category of highly qualified and qualified specialists.
In addition, the decree provides that foreign specialists arriving in Uzbekistan for a short period (up to one month) to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, implement experience exchange programs, conduct master classes and give lectures, as well as improve the skills of workers, are not required to receive confirmation of the right to work in the territory of Uzbekistan.
The tourist (hotel) fee collected by medical institutions from foreign citizens and stateless persons who do not have a permanent place of residence on the territory of the country is also cancelled. Along with this, the requirement for certification of tourism services for medical institutions (with the exception of sanatoriums and boarding houses) is cancelled. Medical institutions keep records of arrivals in electronic form through an automated special electronic program.
