The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Iran discussed the efforts of the two countries to resolve the Afghan crisis, in Tehran

TASHKENT, October 28. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in Tehran, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current level of bilateral relations, prospects for trade-economic cooperation in various fields.

At the meeting, the parties focused on the issue of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.

The parties gave priority to discussing the efforts of Uzbekistan and Iran to resolve the Afghan crisis, the key areas of Uzbekistan – Iran cooperation in the joint implementation of various infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.

The Iranian side expressed its readiness to actively contribute to the establishment of a long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan.
