TASHKENT, February 8. /“Dunyo” IA/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) Baghdad Amreyev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to MFA, the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Turkic Council in mutual interest were discussed at the event.
It was noted that Uzbekistan's accession to the Turkic Council became a historic event in strengthening the unity of the Turkic world and contributed to the disclosure of previously untapped opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership.
Views were exchanged on the schedule of the upcoming meetings at the highest levels within the framework of the Organization, including regular meetings of Ministers of Tourism and Ministers of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Forum of Young Entrepreneurs of Turkic Speaking States planned to be held in Uzbekistan.
Other issues related to cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Turkic Council were also discussed at the meeting.
