Members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan have taken part in the meetings of the working bodies of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA CIS), via videoconference.
According to the upper house of parliament, the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan on Budget and Economic Reforms Erkin Gadoyev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Judicial and Legal Issues and Combating Corruption Shukhrat Chulliyev, member of the Committee on Agriculture and Water Management Issues and Ecology Riskul Siddikov attended the event from the Uzbek part.
At the meetings of Control and Budget Commission, commissions on legal issues, agrarian policy, natural resources and ecology, the issues of adopting laws on the state budget for the next planning period, financial provisions of the IPA CIS, amendments and additions to the Regulation on the standing committees of the Assembly, draft model laws were discussed.
Participants of the meeting expressed their views on the draft decisions of the IPA CIS Council concerning the financial aspects of the activity. Draft regulations in this area were considered.
A meeting of the Expert Council on Healthcare at the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly has taken place. It was attended by experts from the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. The event was dedicated to the issues of ensuring the biosafety of the CIS member states in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and influenza.
