President of Uzbekistan: We will build tomorrow’s Uzbekistan by our industrious endeavors

TASHKENT, November 21. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has discussed socio-economic development of Chilanzar district of Tashkent during a meeting with mahalla chairpersons and youth of the district as well as executive officials, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

“Today we need to identify “growth points” in Chilanzar and determine tasks for the comprehensive development of its economy and elevation of living standards,” the head of state announced while opening the session.

There are 51 mahallas in the district. Nine percent of the economically active population is unemployed. The volume of industrial production per capita is half the Tashkent average.

In this respect, local reserves were studied and a two-year program was devised for the integrated development of Chilanzar. It covers seven main areas.

The program provides in particular for the realization of 298 investment projects worth 10 trillion 238 billion soums in the food, textile, chemical, construction, pharmaceutical, jewelry industries.

In addition, urgent objectives were identified for entrepreneurship development, poverty reduction, repair of roads and engineering networks, implementation of reforms in medicine and education, and crime reduction.

“If we properly organize work in each mahalla, people will feel justice,” the President said.

The head of state attended to the views and proposals raised by youth representatives, expressed support for them and gave corresponding instructions to officials in charge.

“A new system of working with youth will be established in Tashkent. The city youth forum will be held. The capital’s youth should set the tone in everything,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.

The President stressed the need to create a “factory of projects” in the districts of Tashkent and assist young people in the implementation of their business initiatives.

“We will build tomorrow’s Uzbekistan by our industrious endeavors. Who can handle this? Of course, selfless people who love their Motherland! We have just one way to go: to honestly serve the people and make them happy with our work,” the head of our state summed up.
