According to the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on January 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev once again personally expressed his deepest condolences to the families and relatives of citizens of our country who were tragically dead in Aktobe region of Kazakhstan.
The Head of our state expressed gratitude to the leader of Kazakhstan for his sincere words of support, as well as for prompt assistance in resolving organizational issues and investigating the causes of the tragic incident.
The need for further close interaction between the governments, authorized agencies and organizations of the two countries for preventing such incidents in the future was emphasized.
During the conversation, current issues of further deepening bilateral relations of strategic partnership and strengthening regional cooperation in priority areas were also considered.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated President Nursultan Nazarbayev on successful results of his recent official visit to the United States and the UN Security Council meeting, held for the first time under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.
Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expressed their principled support for the efforts on development and strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation between the Central Asian countries.
It was emphasized that the forthcoming first Summit of the Heads of Central Asian States in Astana, Kazakhstan, will allow to open a new page in relations and start joint implementation of new programs and projects that meet the long-term interests of all countries in the region.
President of Kazakhstan highly appreciated and supported the initiative on conduction in Tashkent of an international ministerial conference in March this year on “Afghanistan – the path to a peaceful future” for ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in the region.
The sides also noted with satisfaction the active preparations for conduction of the Year of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the agreements reached at the meetings and negotiations at the highest level in Tashkent, in September last year.
In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev confirmed their determination to further actively develop multifaceted and fruitful cooperation, strengthen the centuries-old relations of friendship and good-neighborliness in the interests of our countries and people.
