Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Advisor to the President exchanged views on the preparations for the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”

TASHKENT, May 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a meeting with Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Economic Development, Effective Public Administration and International Cooperation Suma Chakrabarti, via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Uzbekistan MFA, views were exchanged on the preparations for the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, scheduled for July this year in Tashkent.

It was noted that the initiative to hold this conference was widely supported in all countries of Central and South Asia, as well as in the leading partner states.

In this regard, the importance of careful preparation of the substantive part of the event with an emphasis on the practical significance of its results for the implementation of strategically important infrastructure projects, including the creation of the trans-Afghan corridor, was noted.

The parties also discussed the expansion of mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and foreign partners.
