Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and India discuss development of collaboration

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with External Affairs Minister of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in Moscow.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics spheres.
 
The ministers reviewed the schedule of the upcoming meetings at various levels.
 
The particular importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and India by continuing substantive negotiations and developing new areas of cooperation, including in ensuring regional security and stability, was noted.
 
The sides emphasized the priority importance of practical interaction in trade-economic sphere, as well as the joint implementation of investment and infrastructure projects.
 
The foreign ministers exchanged views on measures taken by the governments of the two countries to mitigate the consequences of the global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
