Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan discussed priorities for developing cooperation with the state Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark via videoconference

TASHKENT, November 25. /Dunyo IA/. Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov held a videoconference with State Secretary for Foreign Policy of Denmark Jesper Moller Sorensen, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current state and priority directions of development of multifaceted and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Denmark were discussed at the meeting.

The importance of enhancing political dialogue through joint events, as well as strengthening cooperation within the framework of international organizations and multilateral structures was noted.

Special attention was paid to the issues of trade-economic and investment cooperation. The importance of Uzbekistan's plans to join the World Trade Organization, obtain beneficiary status under the Generalized System of Preferences Plus (GSP+) and agree on a draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union, which will create favorable conditions for increasing the volume of mutual trade and implementation of investment projects, was highlighted.

Cooperation prospects in cultural-humanitarian sphere were considered. Mutual interest in considering the prospects for deepening relations in science, culture, education and personnel training was expressed.

Deputy Foreign Ministers also exchanged views on current aspects of regional and international agenda.
