Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, has held a telephone conversation with the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.
The parties exchanged views on development of inter-parliamentary ties. Issues of preparation for the upcoming negotiations, planned during the CIS Summit in Tashkent, were discussed.
Tanzila Narbayeva and Valentina Matviyenko also considered the upcoming events of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in Saint Petersburg this November.
The proposals of the Uzbek side to hold one of the events of the Interparliamentary Assembly in Uzbekistan were discussed.
