On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Ali Asad Gillani conveyed his congratulations through the “Dunyo” IA:

May 10 marked the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. On May 10, 1992, the two countries established their diplomatic relations. Pakistan was the third country to open its Embassy in Uzbekistan. On this auspicious occasion, I, on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan wish to congratulate our brothers and sisters, the leadership and the people of Uzbekistan.

During the recent years, Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations have flourished in diverse fields including diplomatic, political, defence, security, economic and trade relations. The two countries also share deep cultural linkages.

Today, the two countries are making progress in diverse fields. The Trans-Afghan Railway Project, the connectivity projects and the Preferential Trade Agreement between the two side would positively impact our bilateral relations. The visit by the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Uzbekistan and then the visit by the Uzbek President to Pakistan were a huge success. The two countries have embarked on a futuristic path with a vision and guidance provided by the leaderships of the two countries.

I foresee a very promising future of our bilateral relations in diverse fields. With the passage of time, the Uzbekistan-Pakistan relationships will grow from strengthen to strength.

Long live Uzbekistan-Pakistan friendship.

Once again congratulations to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan and to the people of Pakistan.
