Ambassador of Uzbekistan and Assistant Foreign Minister of Kuwait discussed cooperation issues within the framework of the UN Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region

AL-KUWAIT, November 25. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev has met with Assistant Foreign Minister/Head of International Organizations Department of Kuwait, Naser Al-Hayen, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The Kuwaiti side highly appreciated the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations.

The Assistant Foreign Minister confirmed Kuwait’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation with Uzbekistan within the framework of international and regional organizations such as the UN and OIC.

Naser Al-Hayen, sincerely congratulating the government of Uzbekistan on the election of the country to the UN Human Rights Council, wished every success in the country’s activities within this important international structure.

The Kuwaiti side believes that the election of Uzbekistan to the UN Human Rights Council is a well-deserved recognition from the international community of the democratic reforms carried out in the country, including in human rights protection.

The Assistant Foreign Minister expressed the readiness of the Government of Kuwait to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan within the framework of the UN Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region, created at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

He assured that the list of socio-economic projects provided by the Uzbek side, proposed for the implementation in the Aral Sea region with participation of international donors and foreign countries, will be studied. The Government of Kuwait will consider the possibility of participating in the implementation of individual projects.
