Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - More than 100 world and domestic museums and libraries received certificates for 35 volumes of book-albums from the series "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world."
On 22 October, the international media hall hosted an event timed to coincide with the presentation of the project "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the world’s gatherings" to foreign observers and experts who arrived at the presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The guests of honor of the event were representatives of the diplomatic corps, international observers, scientists, representatives of the capital and regional museums and institutions, journalists and bloggers.
During the event, a video was shown about the results of the 5-year work of the project "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the world’s gatherings", as well as the interim results of the work of the World Society for the study, preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
The culminating event was the ceremony of presenting to foreign members of the World Society of memorable signs for the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, as well as certificates for receiving 35 volumes of books-albums of the series "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world."
Books and badges of honor will be transferred through the Embassies of foreign countries accredited in Uzbekistan - to leading museums, libraries and scientific institutions, as well as personally to members of the World Society abroad.
Representatives of state museums and libraries of Uzbekistan were also awarded certificates for receiving 35 volumes of books-albums of the series "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World".
They expressed gratitude for such a significant gift, which clearly demonstrates the richness and diversity of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, stored not only in our country, but also abroad.

The importance of the project was also emphasized by the vice-president of the publishing house "Mueller & Schindler" Alexander Wilhelm, who today was presented with a commemorative sign on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the state independence of Uzbekistan. “The very creation of the project “The Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the World Collections” is a historical event, behind which is the colossal work of hundreds of scientists from Uzbekistan and other countries of the world. It is a great honor for us to become a part of this great project and on behalf of all scientists of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, I thank you for your attention and support for cultural and humanitarian initiatives around the world,” he said.
“We must show our cultural heritage to the whole world. This is the importance of these album books. In the future, within the framework of the project, we will witness new discoveries. I think that today’s event will remain in our memory for a long time and we hope that in the future we will witness the same beautiful and significant events,” said Akbar Khakimov, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Arts, professor, doctor of art history.
By now the project has already prepared 50 volumes of book-albums, which were presented within the framework of the Heritage Week and the 5th International Congress of the World Society in Tashkent, Nukus and Khiva. A total of 15 thousand colorful books-albums of the series "Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World" have already been distributed to schools, libraries and museums.
