On 3-4 February the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council to host its 25th meeting

LONDON, January 26. /“Dunyo” IA/. On 3-4 February, Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom will hold an online conference of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council (UBTIC), which is a bilateral mechanism for dialogue between the governments and business communities of the two countries, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, the event is organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the UK Department for International Trade. This time it will focus on considering the prospects for cooperation in renewable energy, financial services, health, and education.

Uzbekistan delegation will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, the British delegation – by Minister of State for Trade Policy in the Department for International Trade, Greg Hands.

More than 40 speakers will take part in online sessions, including heads of ministries, agencies, and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan and the UK, as well as representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the International Finance Corporation, and other international financial institutions.

Meetings of the official delegations of the two countries will be held, during which the current issues of the bilateral agenda in trade and investment will be discussed.
