Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India

TASHKENT, July 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. On July 13, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in Dushanbe to attend the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Haneef Atmar and the Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Current aspects of cooperation with these countries in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed at the meeting. The parties exchanged views on international and regional issues. The prospects for further development of cooperation within the framework of multilateral structures, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, were considered.

The main attention was paid to the upcoming High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” to be held on July 15-16, 2021 in Tashkent.

It was noted that the Tashkent Conference is a timely and important international forum that will contribute not only to the intensification of trade and economic cooperation between South and Central Asia, but also effectively contribute to ensuring regional stability.
