Issues of increasing industrial production are discussed within the framework of INNOPROM in Tashkent

TASHKENT, April 5. /“Dunyo” IA/. The main strategic session “Global industrial production in search of growth drivers” has kicked off within the framework of the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan”, in Tashkent, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondents Muzaffar Kamilov and Anvar Ilyasov (photo).

The session is being attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, as well as heads of industrial companies and partner regions.

Participants of the session are discussing the strategies for the development of industry, the features of international cooperation and the restoration of trade and economic ties, industrial innovations and the industrial potential of Uzbekistan.

The program of the exhibition also includes Uzbekistan – Russia interregional forum with the participation of the heads of regions of the two countries, as well as specialized sessions on the most relevant issues of the industrial agenda with the participation of top officials of the largest companies of Uzbekistan, Russia, Europe and Asia, as well as heads of ministries, agencies, business associations, development institutions and the media.

INNOPROM, which has gathered more than 300 industrial companies and business delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, France, Czech Republic and Japan, is being held at Uzexpocentre. The organizers are the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. 

“Uzbekistan and Russia are implementing a large package of joint projects in various fields. The success of cooperation is confirmed by the fact that, despite the pandemic, the trade turnover between our countries in 2020 amounted to about billion. We plan to increase this amount to billion. The industrial exhibition will become an excellent platform for the formation of new cooperation projects and the signing of mutually beneficial contracts and agreements”, said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

In turn, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov emphasized that Uzbekistan is not just one of the important trade and economic partners for Russia, but a strategic partner with which Russian companies are already creating and will jointly implement large cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy.
