Negotiations has taken place between representatives of Uzcharmsanoat Association, the Khokimiyat of Khorezm region and the head of the Indian company East West Tanners, Muhammad Yunus, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Indian company D'oceanic Dolphin Apparels, Advisor to the Chairman of Uzcharmsanoat Association, Mitesh Verma.
Implementation of investment projects in leather and footwear industry was discussed during the negotiations. The First Deputy Chairman of Uzcharmsanoat Association M. Zakhidov and Advisor to the Khokim of Khorezm region A. Davletov informed Indian entrepreneurs about the investment potential of Khorezm region and investment projects proposed for implementation in this region. Investment proposals for projects on processing leather and manufacturing finished leather products were also presented.
M. Yunus, expressing interest in implementation of these projects, announced his intention to visit Uzbekistan after lifting quarantine restrictions and conduct negotiations with Uzcharmsanoat Association and the Khokimiyat of Khorezm region.
Participants agreed to hold an online videoconference in July.
