According to the document, in 2022-2023, the 1050th anniversary of Abu Rayhan Beruni will be widely celebrated at the international level under the auspices of UNESCO.
It is planned to establish international tourist routes “Buyuk Beruniy Merosi” (Heritage of Great Beruni), as well as build a complex in Beruni district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan by the end of 2023 and restore manuscripts and other cultural values related to the scientific and creative heritage of the scientist.
A laboratory specializing in the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage sites will be organized in the Karakalpak branch of the Academy of Sciences and the Khorezm Mamun Academy. An Olympiad named after Abu Rayhan Beruni will be held in Khorezm region.
It is also planned to establish an international award named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.
Based on the resolution, a special “Beruni and Youth” program will be developed by December. A mobile application will be created that includes information about the life of Abu Rayhan Beruni, his scientific and educational works.
Measures will be taken to publish the complete works of the scientist in Uzbek, Karakalpak, Russian, English, Arabic and Farsi.
